The dream of making a difference in the lives of the people is fast becoming a reality. From the humble biginnings, combined with a strong will, united will has transformed itself into a potent instrument of change.
Driven by the burning desire to make a difference in the lives of many, we found ourselves in the position where we have to come up with a strategy to do it.
We were confronted with having to choose between self-reliance on one hand, and dependence on donor money on the other. The choice came naturally.
Since we were out to empower and encourage self-reliance, what better way could we do it than by being an example.
And so came the idea of a social-enterprise. Then we could make a difference through the profits generated by the enterprise.
And better still, we could empower people by coming up with an organic program where we encourage people to team up and start or run businesses together.
And so UNITED WILL KENYA is born, with the aim of providing microfinance services to selected under-served sections of the populations.
Having seven clients within the first two months may not be much, but we have learnt never to despise humble beginnings.
With a solid VISION, a concrete MISSION and OBJECTIVES of iron, the sky is the limit.
